Founder: Vickie Reed DNP, APRN-NP, C
Victory Psalms was established as an organization in 2018. The purpose of Victory Psalms is to bridge the gap in healthcare delivery at the point of the recipient. The founder, Dr Vickie Reed, is active in community enrichment aimed at decreasing social determinants that negatively affect health outcomes in marginal groups.
Dr Reed graduated from Omaha Central High in 1989. After graduation, she served in the United States Army Reserves while earning a bachelors degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, College of Nursing. She furthered her education earning a Masters Degree in Nursing in 2004 and Doctorate of Nursing Practice in 2018. She is a certified Adult Nurse Practitioner with the Veterans Administration Medical Center.
As part of her ministry, she began uncovering events of American History experienced by those who served in the United States of America Armed Forces. The Victory Psalms organization hosts events that change these stories into history. Natives of the North Omaha area reminisce on historical moments while enjoying a welcome home hero lunch. Music and food brings us together in spite of our differences.
The advocacy approach represented by Victory Psalms, aims to deploy understanding of health care needs, support individual learning, promote a desire for improvement, encourage vitality for life and awareness for equality of resources.
Victory Psalms aims to embrace differences providing a YOU LIVE (ULIVE) experience. Understanding, Learning, Improving, Vitality and Equality.
